The purpose of Schloss Dagstuhl, the Leibniz Center for Informatics (German company name: "Schloss Dagstuhl – Leibniz-Zentrum für Informatik gGmbH") is to promote basic and applied research in the field of informatics, to provide advanced scientific training and continuing education in the field of informatics, to transfer knowledge between research and the application of informatics, and to operate an International Meeting and Research Center for Informatics.
Schloss Dagstuhl is managed by three bodies and supervised and supported by several committees. The Scientific Advisory Board advises Schloss Dagstuhl on scientific issues across departments. The Industrial Curatory Board supports and promotes Schloss Dagstuhl's relations with industry in a likewise cross-departmental manner.
The other committees support specific departments and are responsible for their scientific programs.
