The board of trustees of the Konrad-Zuse-Medal for outstanding contributions in informatics, has decided to award this price 2009 to Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Reinhard Wilhelm, scientific Director of Schloss Dagstuhl and professor for Computer Science at Saarland University. The Konrad-Zuse-Medal is the highest award for Informatics in Germany and is given every two years by the German Informatics Society (GI).
The jury honored Reinhard Wilhelm for his outstanding work in research and teaching in the fields of compiler and real time program analysis as well as for his role as founder and scientific director of the Leibniz Center for Informatics Schloss Dagstuhl.
