Famous mathematicians and computer scientists meet young researchers.
For one week 200 young researchers from more than 50 countries meet winners of the four most important awards in the disciplines of mathematics and computer science - the Fields Medal, Abel Prize, Nevanlinna Prize and Turing award.
The Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) primarily serves the exchange between young mathematicians and computer scientists with their idols, the most important scientists of their subject area. The young researchers thereby pass through an application process, and are finally selected by the award conferring organizations together with the KTS, the HITS, the Mathematical Research Oberwolfach and Schloss Dagstuhl - Leibniz Center for Computer Science.
