During the last years several research projects have been performed to examine control and perception methods in the range of autonomous vehicles operating in rough terrain. Applications, in which these vehicles are operating, are e.g. rescue, agriculture, construction or transport systems. Since years the Robotics Research Lab (RRLab) of the University of Kaiserslautern is active in this area. Inspired by the idea of transferring principle of perception and control from nature to technical systems, RRLab aims at the development of safe and robust offroad-vehicles. In the workshop the PhD candidates of the RRLab will present their current research state, the comparison of their work with the state of the art and their planed research for the next month. The different topics of the workshop are listed below. The workshop offers the PhD candidates a possibility for some intensive discussions of their research ideas.
